Fall Break Recap

Happy Tuesday y'all! I had this post ready to go yesterday and forgot to hit publish, so here it is a day late. I headed back to work yesterday after having a week off for Fall Break, and I have to admit that it was HARD. It's always a little hard to go back to work and get back into our routine after a long break, but now that I'm a mama, going back to work is so much harder. I love my job and my sweet students make my days easier, but I can't help but think about all of the snuggles that I'm missing from my baby boy while I'm away from him. The mom guilt is so real. I know how blessed I am to have a job that allows me to have breaks off throughout the year to spend a little extra time with Kadyn and I don't take that time off for granted. Chase was off this past week too and I'm so thankful for the time that we all got to spend together. Here is a little look at our week..

We kicked off our fall break celebrating our favorite guy's 26th birthday. Dinner with family on Friday, Dinner and camping with friends on Saturday, and another family day on Sunday.

Monday was gloomy/rainy and we spent the day at home being lazy, watching our shows, and soaking up all of the baby snuggles. This boy had the best day playing and hanging out with mama and daddy at home.

Tuesday we took Kadyn on his first trip to the zoo. He liked seeing all of the animals, but probably enjoyed people watching even more. We took this picture before going home and he had just fallen asleep.

Wednesday my grandparents came to visit and Kadyn loved spending time with his great-grandparents.

Thursday we spent our morning at home just hanging out, and went to dinner at Stellians ( a restaurant known for their pizza and milkshakes) with my SIL and BIL. Kadyn was a little upset that he didn't get any pizza.

I mean look at that milkshake! It was SO good.

Our sweet boy got to enjoy a few bites and he agreed.

We had scheduled our groceries to be picked up early Friday morning, so we all got up early and went on a little Chick-fil-A and Target run before stopping at Kroger on the way home to get our groceries. Chase wasn't feeling the best and it was another rainy day so we spent the rest of our day inside watching tv and just hanging out.

Saturday we didn't have any plans (my favorite kind of weekend) and we spent most of our day at home being lazy. It was COLD, so I had chicken enchilada soup cooking in the crockpot. We visited Chase's dad for about an hour or two Saturday evening, but other than that it was another perfect lazy day.

Sunday we went to church, grabbed lunch at Longhorn ,and then came home to soak up our last little bit of time off together.

That sums up fall break 2019!
Hope y'all have the BEST week!
