2018 Year in Review

Happy New Years Eve y'all! I hope you all had the BEST Christmas. I'm just over here trying to soak up these last few days of Christmas Break. We go back to school Thursday, and this girl is not ready to go back. Chase and I don't have any big plans for today/tonight. I'm thinking we'll pick up dinner, and stay home in our pajamas watching Blacklist on Netflix.

Today I'm sharing a recap of our year with y'all. 2018 absolutely flew by, but it was such a great year! We traveled to some of our favorite spots, I got a job & started teaching at my dream school, and best of all, we found out we were expecting our sweet baby boy.

Here's a look back at our year...

We rang in the New Year playing games with these girls and their guys.

January was filled with so many snow days. I think we missed almost two whole weeks of school in January, and more in February and March. Here's to hoping this January brings just as many snow days. ;)

This guy and I managed to get out of the house for some date nights, despite all the snow.

My momma and I had a fun girls day in Louisville, running errands and eating at one of our favorite spots.

We celebrated Valentine's Day a little late with a trip to Nashville. Good food, donuts, and shopping was on our agenda for the day.

March was pretty uneventful, it was unseasonably cold and we even had a few random snow days.
I celebrated my birthday on the 27th, and told Chase that I wanted my gift to be a trip to 30A. We managed to spend the last few days of the month at one of our favorite places.

We spent the first days of April in 30A too, and enjoyed the last little bit of our Spring Break.

My not so little brother graduated from high school.

We had our first Pelican's trip of the season...

And our first lake day on Memorial Day weekend.

Hello Summer Break! With all of the snow we had in the winter we ended up not getting out of school until June 7.

We kicked off summer with a trip to the drive-in with my SIL and BIL.

Chase and I celebrated our two-year wedding anniversary.

And we ended the month with a week in our favorite vacation spot. We're already planning our 30A trip for next summer.

We got home from Seaside just in time to celebrate 4th of July on the lake with family. We ended the night with fireworks, of course.

My SIL and I had a little girls day in Nashville. She had just found out she was expecting a baby boy so we hit up some baby stores, ate alllll the food, and stopped by Trader Joe's for the first time.

At the end of July my bestie and I went to see Shania Twain in concert. We had such a fun night, and survived traveling home in the middle of some crazy storms.

August was a BUSY month, and this was one of the only photos I took. I worked on getting my classroom ready, and we started back to school during the second week of August.
I took a positive pregnancy test on the Friday of our first week of school (August 10th to be exact), and Chase and I celebrated with a date night. We told our families the next weekend and it was such an exciting time.

We had our first ultrasound on September 8th, followed by dinner with our families.

We celebrated my sister at her bachelorette party at the beginning of the month.

And on the 22nd she married her best friend! She made the most gorgeous bride.

My best friend and I took a little Fall Break girls trip to the Smoky Mountains.

We announced our pregnancy when I was 13 weeks. It was the hardest secret ever to keep!

And a few weeks later we found out we were having a sweet baby boy.

In November we got started on baby boy's room.

Celebrated our last Thanksgiving as a family of 2.

Had our 20 week ultrasound.

We also had our first couple of snow days, and spent time watching allllll the Christmas movies.

On the 16th our sweet nephew made his appearance. We can't to see him and our sweet boy to grow up together.

We went on our annual trip to Opryland to look at the lights. We started this tradition 4 years ago when we were engaged. It's crazy to think that next year we'll be taking a sweet baby along with us.

And spent the last few weeks of the month enjoying time off with my boys. Most of my Christmas Break days have looked exactly like this.

That's our 2018!
Hoping every single one of y'all have a great New Year. I'm so excited to see what 2019 has in store for us.
