Weekend Recap

Happy Monday y'all! Why is it that the weekend seems to go by SO stinkin' fast? It was cold and rainy here all weekend so we had a lazy weekend inside and it was pretty perfect. I love a rainy, lazy weekend spent at home. ;)

I don't know about y'all, but I was so glad to see the weekend after a stressful week. Friday afternoon I had plans to go out to dinner with my mom, brother, and grandparents while Chase was at work. We hadn't seen my grandparents in a while and had a great time catching up. I always love time spent with my momma and brother too. After dinner, we made a quick TJ Maxx run so that I could look for Rae Dunn. I found a few things, and then we headed home. Friday night I finished up most of my homework so that I wouldn't have to worry about it over the weekend, and went to bed early.

Saturday morning I got up early to clean up around the house before Chase woke up. While I was waiting on him to wake up, I had my "quiet" time, drank some coffee, and caught up on Grey's and This Is Us. It was rainy so we spent most of the day on the couch catching up on some of our shows.
Saturday night we spent some time at my FIL's to celebrate my SIL's birthday a little late.

Sunday we ran by Starbucks, went to church, and had lunch at one of our favorite places. Loaded tortilla soup was perfect for on this cold/rainy day.

After lunch we headed to Target because we can't go to town without going on a Target run. I'm pretty sure Chase likes going just as much as I do.

I picked up some of this popcorn to take to school to snack on. I tried some when I got home and it was SO good. It won't take me long to go through that bag. ;)

I also tried on a few things and bought this adorable striped top. I can't pass up a cute striped tee, and I love the tie in the front. Stay tuned because tomorrow I'll be sharing some Target "fitting room finds" with y'all.

As soon as we got home from town, I changed straight into my comfy clothes and sat by the fire for a few before finishing up my homework. Thankfully I had finished most of my work throughout the week last week so I just had one assignment to finish up and it didn't take long. I made some potato soup for dinner, and we spent the rest of the night cozied up on the couch watching Blue Bloods.

I hope y'all have the best week!
xoxo

  1. Sounds like a perfect weekend! My sister and I are obsessed with Rae Dunn! We've lucked out at Marshall's the last few times we've went!

    1. I love it too, I wish it wasn’t so hard to find! We don’t have a Marshall’s or Home Goods that is close, so TJ Maxx is the only place I’m able to go to find it.
