Weekend Recap + Weekend Outfit Details

Happy Monday y'all! I can't believe that the weekend is already over. We had a pretty busy weekend and could definitely use another day or two to recoup. Today I'm sharing a little weekend recap with y'all, along with a few outfit details from the weekend.

Friday after school I headed to my moms to help her do a little packing. She's moving at the end of this week and still had a lot of work to do so I offered to help. We probably did more talking and laughing than actual packing, but it was so nice to spend some time with her and my brother.

I woke up pretty early on Saturday morning to finish up one of my big homework assignments for my Masters class before Chase woke up. Definitely not my "ideal" Saturday morning activity (I would have much rather caught up on last weeks' Grey's episode), but at least I had coffee to get me through it.  :)  My goal was to get all of my homework done before the weekend so that I could "relax" a little more and spend time with Chase, but that just didn't happen.

After I finished my homework, I had some "quiet time" before Chase got up. I came across this verse while reading my bible and wanted to share it with y'all. It was exactly what I needed to hear, and I have kept going back to it. Hopefully it will be a little bit of "inspiration" for you this week.
"For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2:10

Chase wakes up pretty late in the morning now that he's working second shift, so we had a late breakfast and fit in a few episodes of Blue Bloods before spending some time cleaning up the house. Saturday night we did a little shopping and went to eat with some friends.

Saturday was rainy and this outfit was perfect. I am loving the ruffle trend.

Sunday morning Chase and I went on our traditional Sunday morning Starbucks run before church, and had one of the BEST church services we've had in a while. After church we went to target (because where else would we go?) and ran a few other errands. I've recruited Chase to be my "blog photographer" so we went downtown to take a few pictures that I'll be posting on my blog this week. He was such a trooper. ;)

Sunday's outfit included some of my faves as well. I ordered my sweater during our "snow-cation" a few weeks ago and love, love, love the mock neck and puffy sleeves.

Sunday afternoon we spent some time at my MIL's house to celebrate my SIL's birthday, and the rest of my Sunday was spent meal prepping for the week, finishing homework, and catching up on Blue Bloods.

Before I go I wanted to share my $23 mules that I picked up at target over the weekend. I'm in LOVE with them! I got my normal size and they fit perfect. They will be perfect for the transition to spring.
(Unfortunately my sweater is sold out.)

That's it for today friends. I hope you have the BEST week!

  1. Hi There! From someone who doesn't get to go to church too often (its complicated) I do appreciate the small passages from scripture - just enough to get you thinking. Europafox x

  2. How sweet that your husband has agreed to be your photographer!

    1. It took some convincing, but he's been a trooper. He wouldn't admit it, but I think he's actually enjoying it. 😉
