Weekend Recap

Happy first Monday of October y'all! I can't believe October is already here, but I am SO excited about all of the exciting fall things that we'll be doing this month. This week we are on our fall break and I'm so thankful for a little time off. There's nothing quite like the feeling of knowing you don't have to set an alarm or go into work for the next week. Today I'm sharing a little recap of our weekend.

I didn't do the best job remembering to take pictures this weekend and just realized all of the pictures I did take involve food. #oops

I started my Friday off with a little sushi at our favorite hibachi restaurant with one of my friends. We're both teachers so we were pumped that we had survived the last Friday before fall break. ;)
After dinner, we headed to the movies to see Home Again. We had planned on seeing it a few weeks ago and decided against it because the reviews weren't the best. We didn't have anything else to do Friday night so we thought, why not? We thought it was such a cute movie and were so glad we decided to see it.

I started my Saturday morning off with a Starbucks breakfast run. I tried the new Maple Pecan Latte for the first time. I was a little nervous about trying it and not liking it, but it did not disappoint. It was delicious.  I also got a little pumpkin bread to go with my latte. I cuddled up on the couch with a blanket and my Starbucks, and caught up on the new episodes of Grey's and This is Us. It was the perfect Saturday morning and it even felt like fall outside.

Chase had been in Florida working for the past three weeks and he left early Saturday morning to head home. I was SO excited to finally see him and have him home. I hadn't been to the grocery since he left so I ordered my groceries online through Kroger's Click List and picked them Saturday evening. It was my first time to try out their Click List option, but I loved it! It was so nice to just park, let them load my groceries, and leave. I'll definitely be using this option more.

We slept in Sunday morning since Chase got home late Saturday night, and ended up missing church. We spent Sunday morning catching up on some of our favorite shows.

I bought this Pumpkin Bread Mix...

And this Pumpkin Spice Latte coffee at our local orchard a few weeks ago and got them out Sunday morning.

The first day of October called for some Pumpkin Bread. I just mixed a can of pumpkin, and some eggs with the mix in the bag and added some chocolate chips.

It turned out SO good. I plan on eating on it this week while I'm off. I definitely need to be eating a little healthier since I got completely off track while Chase was out of town, but I can't resist a good fall treat. :)

I hope y'all have the BEST week.
I'll be sharing my fall home decor and some of my goals for October later this week.
XOXO
