What's Up Wednesday

Happy Wednesday Friends! Today I'm linking up with Shay for What's Up Wednesday, and we're answering these questions...

Sunday and Monday - Burgers with veggies and corn on the Cobb

Tuesday- I made loaded potato salad for lunch and it was delish. I'll probably have a little for lunch everyday this week.

Tuesday - For dinner we had orange chicken, cauliflower fried rice, and some mixed veggies
Wednesday - Tonight we're trying out Shay's BBQ Pineapple Baked Chicken Tacos for dinner
Thursday - For dinner we're having Fish and Shrimp Tacos
Friday & Saturday - We'll eat out for dinner

I'm reminiscing about our wedding! Last year at this time, our wedding was just a few weeks away and we were working on getting our home move-in ready and finishing up some last minute wedding planning. It was such a special and exciting time.

Lake Days! We live about 5 minutes from the lake and we love spending our time in the Summer on the water.

We were out on the lake most of the day Saturday and Monday and it was perfection.

As of last Friday I'm officially on Summer Break and I'm so excited. Chase was off Friday-Tuesday and it was great to have those days off to spend some time together. We spent time out on the lake and with family, watched an entire season of Chicago PD, and got a ton of stuff done around the house. After almost a year in our house, we finally got around to planting some flowers and doing some landscaping and painting our front porch.

I volunteered to work at the Summer Program at our school It starts on Monday and lasts the entire month of June. While I'm looking forward to working with some sweet kids, it's hard not to think about what I could be doing/working on if I were enjoying my summer instead of working. Thankfully I get paid a little extra for helping out, and I'll be off all of July so I'll still have plenty of time to get a little rest in and enjoy summer.

I have a HUGE list of summer projects that I want to tackle around our house. Over the weekend we painted our front porch, did some landscaping around the house, planted some pots of flowers to brighten up our front porch, and started cleaning out our guest bedroom winch I'm currently using as my closet because I have way too much stuff. ;)

All of the fun that we have planned this summer! In the next few weeks we have a fun little trip planned with my brother and sister, and we are planning to take a weekend trip to Chicago for our Anniversary.

I've been reading all kinds of good books on my Nook lately.

We are still loving Chicago PD! We're currently watching Season 4.

As usual..I'm listening to my usual station on Pandora

I can't get enough of my leather cuff from the Farm Girl Paints Etsy Shop. I literally wear it with everything.

My white Pixie Pants from Old Navy were on repeat during the last few weeks of school.

I got this top last year at Gap and I still love it so much.

We don't have anything planned for this weekend, but the next few weekend after this one are going to be so much fun.

We're heading to Chicago for a weekend anniversary trip! We really wanted to go on a big vacation for our anniversary, but Chase just can't take time off from work right now. After watching so much Chicago PD we have been talking about visiting Chicago since neither of us have been and we can't wait to go. I'm hoping we can head to the beach sometime in July since we aren't getting to go for our anniversary.

Our favorite vacation spot is definitely the beach. We love the Seaside area as well as PCB, but I think we would really be happy to be on any beach. The beach is just good for my soul. :)

Although we LOVE the beach, I feel like I have to mention Savannah, GA too. I have been visiting this city for as long as I can remember, and it has a special place in my heart. I have so many memories with my family here and this city is just gorgeous. And Tybee Island is just a few minutes away from the city. Chase has never been here before, but we are hoping to go on a little vacation here sometime in July.

See y'all tomorrow!

Show & Tell -Travel

Hey y'all. So I totally meant to link up with Andrea on Tuesday for Show and Tell Tuesday, and with the busyness of the last week of school I just didn't have time to finish my post in time. This is just too fun of a post to skip altogether so I'm posting a day late. ;)

I love to travel and I'm excited to share some of my trips with y'all. I've been on a lot of trips lately and I want to share them all, so today's post is going to extra long. I'm going to start with my most recent trips and work my way back.

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday y'all! I say it every Monday, but I can't believe the weekend is already over. This is our LAST week of school, which made it a little bit easier to get up this morning. I can't wait to have a much needed summer break.
Right after school on Friday, I headed to town to get my hair done.
I had been thinking most of the week about what I wanted to do to my hair. I felt like parts of my hair were really dry/damaged from all the color that had been put in it lately. I knew that it would be so much healthier if I cut a lot of it off, and my hairstylist agreed. I showed her some pictures of some "shorter" hairstyles that I liked and she did such a great job.

I was a little nervous, but I  LOVE how it turned out. My hair feels SO much healthier too. :)

We spent most of our weekend hanging out with my brother and sister- in- law. Friday night we grilled some burgers and rented some movies to watch. We had too much fun playing around with our snapchat filters.

Saturday morning my sister-in-law and I got up early and did some shopping before coming home to lay by the pool for a bit. We were  pretty excited about our first day by the pool.

Love my sweet hubby. :)

I'm looking forward to many more days spent like this throughout the summer.

Our pool day got cut short when a storm came through. We spent the rest of our Saturday just hanging out inside.

Sunday we were up early for church, had Mexican for lunch,  and did some grocery shopping. We spent the rest of our Sunday napping and catching up on Grey's and Chicago PD. We watched the Grey's finale, which about gave me a heart attack. ;)

Hope y'all have a great week!
