SPRING BREAK IN TEXAS {PART 1-WACO}

Happy Monday Y'all! I took a little blogging break last week to enjoy my Spring Break, and I'm excited to be back. My Spring Break was CRAZY busy, but one of the best weeks I've had in a while. I spent Sunday-Thursday in Texas with my momma, brother, and some family on my moms side that lives in Houston (my mom hadn't seen them in over 30 years and my brother and I had never met them - more on that later though). I spent Friday with my sister-in-law getting ready for her wedding, and Saturday was wedding day. I spent yesterday cleaning, meal planning, grocery shopping, and soaking up the last hours of break.

Today I'm sharing a little recap of the first part of our Texas Vacation. I mentioned that my mom, brother, and I spent some time in Texas with family that my mom hadn't seen in over 30 years. A few months ago my moms cousin, who lives in Houston, invited us to come stay with her family over Spring Break. I'm so thankful that my mom was able to be reunited with this part of her family and that I got to meet them. They will forever have a place in my heart now and we most definitely plan on seeing each other more often now.

The first stop on our trip was Waco. My cousin, Madi, plays softball for Baylor University so we stopped in Waco to visit her, and of course we couldn't go to Waco and not visit Magnolia Market.
We left EARLY Sunday morning and arrived in Waco around 4:00 Sunday evening. We got settled into our condo, had dinner at a local restaurant, tried out Steel City Pops, and  then headed back to the condo to get rested up.

We had dessert at Steel City Pops in Waco. This place was so good!

 Ready to get our day started on Monday morning.
We had breakfast at CafĂ© Cappuccino and it was amazing. We love trying out local places when we go on vacation, and this place did not disappoint.

I got a chocolate chip/banana pancake, scrambled eggs with cheese, and a white mocha cappuccino. It looks amazing, right?

Our next stop was Magnolia! I had been looking forward to this part of our trip for weeks, and it was even better than I expected.

Our first stop was the bakery. The line was long so we decided to go ahead and get that done before we looked around. There were probably 50 or more people in line and it actually went super fast.

Their cupcakes were SO pretty.

We spent the rest of our time there looking through Magnolia Market and enjoying the gorgeous weather. They had the cutest food trucks set up with a variety of food for lunch/snacks, but after our big breakfast we just weren't hungry. I wanted to try something so bad though. After Magnolia, we did a few more things in Waco and then headed to Houston, where we would be staying with my cousin for the rest of our time in Texas.

A few (or A LOT) of our pictures from Magnolia:

We had the BEST time in Waco. Tomorrow I'll be sharing Part 2 of our trip to Texas.
Hope y'all have a great week!
XOXO
